| The Slice is a kind of signature for Lene Frantzen. She designs and produces each and every one herself. The design is a jumble of colours and patterns, simple and elegant at the same time. Lene Frantzen has been making textiles her whole life. Her interest in felt started in 1990. At that time she created textile art using felt and metal. "In 2000 I decided to make product designs with an artistic appearance. Since that, it has developed into a series of scarves and other accessories including the ’The Slice series". The process behind making ’the slice series’ have been through a long and difficult development. Hugh amount of wool have been discarded because the quality of the product wasn’t perfect. All products are manufactured with great respect for the environment. The natural felting of wool is without chemicals and all water used through the process is recycled. Custom made machinery is utilized and ensures the famous razor sharp cut of the Slice. The Slice is produced in Denmark at Skamlingsbanken holding both studio and boutique. Here Lene Frantzen also designs corporate gifts and unique interior decorations. Lene Frantzen has received numerous awards. |
